Not much to report on today. We
departed Northumberland Provincial Park around 9:45 and enjoyed a
leisurely drive across the island to our next campground. Marco Polo
Land is a large 800+ site Campground in the north central portion of
the island. The Polo connection comes from Marco's boat being
shipwrecked near here.

Having a shorter distance to travel
than the rest of the fantasy RV group we were set up and Maggie was
in her pool when the others started arriving. The excitement for the
day was one of our group broke down on the two lane road leading to
the campground. Road service resolved the problem without them having
to be towed and they soon where parked and the center of attention. I
was asked to put my skills to work when one of the groups voltage
monitoring/surge suppressor flashed an error message. We did a little
testing and determined the service receptacle was wired correctly. I
have a theory on why the device displayed the message, but won't bore
you with details. End result is he's plugged into the receptacle and
everything is working fine.

At 6:30 we met in the activity center
for a meeting. The wagon masters detailed our scheduled activities
for the next two days. Afterwards we all had Root Beer Floats
courtesy of Fantasy RV Tours. The owner of the campground came and
gave us a little history of the campground. It has been here for
fifty years, she has owned it for the last ten. She and her husband
immigrated here from Holland. They first bought a dairy farm, for a
while after buying the campground, he ran the farm, she ran the
campground. They recently sold the dairy farm.
