Halifax to Cape Breton |
Monday August 8 2016
Travel day today, it was one of our
longer runs, 250 miles from Halifax to Cape Breton. Most of the trip
was uninspiring four lane turnpike. The last 1/3rd of the
way was more interesting as the landscape changed to forested
mountains. Well, small mountains but over every crest we were treated
to a panoramic vista of long flowing valleys or the bright blue
waters of large lakes.

Arriving at Arm of Gold Campground in
the village of Little Bras D'or a little after 2pm we Set up camp,
let Maggie play, talked to neighbors and generally chilled out until
6pm. Fantasy RV tours hosted a pizza party in the barn here at the
campground.

Afterward dinner Millie and I walked
Maggie around the hiking trail and down to the river. Day is done,
I'm looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow morning.
